COVID-19 health situation in Croatia is serious, the government warned today, condemning irresponsible behaviour in the country.

We have a new daily record “This testifies to the gravity of the” situation, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said, during a session of his cabinet, the ATS reported.

The country of 4.2 million people has recorded 1563 new cases (approximately 30,000 total) and 13 new (406 total deaths), in the last 24 hours.

Almost half of the new infection cases were recorded in Zagreb.

Plenkovic called on his fellow citizens to be responsible, while his Health Minister, Willi Beros, expressed regret over the large number of disease microvats and warned against irresponsible behaviour.

Putting a mask on is mandatory since mid-October in closed spaces, throughout the country, as well as in the outer environments in Zagreb, when social distance cannot be respected.

Bars and restaurants should be closed by midnight.
