Coronavirus in Albania, significant rise in new cases

Albania's Health Ministry has indicated that 1398 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours, of which 257 positive people have been confirmed, marking a significant increase in cases even though a record of 203 cases were set a day earlier.

Most of the new cases have been identified in Tirana -- 83, followed by Fieri with 29, Durres 27, Shkodra 20, Korca 14 cases, etc.

Despite doctors' efforts, unfortunately, they have lost their battle with COVIID19, a 65-year-old from Kavaja, a 75-year-old from Elbasan and 3 citizens from Tirana -- a 70-year-old, a 71-year-old, a 77-year-old.

Infective Hospital and “Shefqet Ndkoqi” is treating 249 patients, 21 in intensive therapy from which 5 patients are assembled.

Since the outbreak of the coronary pandemic in Albania has confirmed 16212 cases, 9864 have healed, 5909 are still active cases, while the battle with dangerous disease has lost 439 people. /A2
