This is thanks to two members of the Kosovo Security Force, Arelena Shala's Yll Dallaku, who became the first of Kosovo to complete the academy in West Point.
Their graduation, the Star of Arelena, was made before American President Donald Trump.
Now three months, the Star has returned and is serving in the Kosovo Army. The experience he has received at West Point is proving to be extremely necessary for his service at KSF.
The KSF's co-operation with the U.S. Army has been earlier, so this is a continuation of co-operation. Of course, the knowledge I have received at West Point will help me a lot at KSF”, says the Star for RTK.
The challenges were many. But there was something Yll Dallaku had never let surrender, as did the other 300 screws.
When I knew which country I represent, our past, the motive has been far greater”, he says.
In all of this, there were also interesting moments to tell the Star.
The roommate, American soldier, arrived in Kosovo two years ago. I'm happy that he now has a good opinion of us, and they have come true the words I've said about Kosovo”, the Star says.
Arelena Shala was with the star. She's already continuing master's studies in America. But in a story he had given about West Point, he had told a lot, starting with the history of Kosovo, KSF, academy achievement and future plans.
When I was 4 or 5, the war started in Kosovo, and we were forced to leave the house and went as refugees to Albania. On the street, I saw fires, tanks. But not long after, everything was fixed, and for my sister who was born after the war, what happened is something unimaginable”, Arelena relates.
I'm interested in working for international security in the future, and that's why I'm here. Especially in the Balkans, where there are still efforts for conflict, and the security situation is unstable. All states have fought for independence, when they are now trying to empower this independence, and boost security. That is the goal, to work for increased security in the Balkans”, she says.
The star and Arelena were the first to write this story, but they hope that this route will continue many KSF cadades.
