Clark: We are proud of what the people of Kosovo have accomplished

“War is a terrible thing, when the killings started in Kosovo it has been difficult to stop and the use of force is always the last opportunity. Three times I went to meet Milosevic, he simply refused to obey by diplomatic means. He told me we know how to deal with Kosovars- I said like: he said “we'll kill them all” That's when I realized how much trouble we're in with him. Even the Russians, Serbia sent troops and diplomatic efforts again did not stop. As Milosevic disobeyed it was the most difficult decision Olbright and Clinton made to use force against Milosevic and thus act. We intensified the attacks, and diplomatic efforts to resolve the problem continued at the same time, until that eventually happened. We are proud of what the people of Kosovo have accomplished, with the help of America. Our relations remain strong, and now the challenge for Kosovo is building a strong state economically and in good neighborhoods with all”, Clark said.
