China reported 11 new cases of COVID-19 on 7 October, out of seven cases earlier, the country's national health authority said Thursday, Reuters reported.
The National Health Commission said in a statement all new cases were imported infections involving travelers from abroad.
The number of new alysmptomatic cases, which China does not calculate as confirmed cases, dropped to eight out of 24 days ago.
The total number of confirmed cases COVID-19 in mainland China now stands at 85,500, while the death toll remained unchanged in 4,634.
