Demonstrators rushed to parliament at night and clashed with police, demanding new elections.
Hundreds were hurt as one person died, Minster of Health said.
This action by the electoral commission came after President Sooronbai Yeenbekov accused “political forces” that were illegally trying to take power, writes the BBC, translates Periscopi.
Protests erupted after only 4 political parties out of 16 registered in parliament in Sunday's elections managed to pass the election threshold. Three out of four of these parties have close ties with President Yeenbekov.
The election threshold in this country is nothing less than 7 percent, or 2 percent more than in the Republic of Kosovo. /Periscope
