Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj has reacted to the establishment of the Interstate Fund for Valley Financial Support.
Through a Facebook status, it has said it marks a new political moment in the efforts of both governments of the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo to magnify the position and improve the situation of Albanians in Presevo, Bujanoc and Medvedja.
The Presevo Valley is the most underdeveloped Albanian majority region in Serbia, and Albanians in the Presevo Valley are one of the most under-represented national minorities in the region. Therefore, institutional, diplomatic, and financial support for the Valley today is not only ineligible national duty, but also necessary political action”, Cakaj said in post.
Furthermore, Cakaj suggested that soon the two governments will take several more measures in support of the Presevo Valley.
