Boyehler guarantees for projects signed in the White House even if power changes there

The chief executive of the International Finance Development Corporation of the United States, Adam Behehler, praised on Thursday during an online conference with journalists, Kosovo and Serbia for their commitment, as he said in joint efforts to normalise economic relations between the two countries. Mr. Boehler's comments follow the signing of letters of interest with Kosovo and Serbia at the end of the month we are leaving behind to help finance the Peace Highway between the two countries.
“It may be very difficult to put old problems behind us and think of the economic future. But the two presidents -- that of Kosovo and Serbia -- have realised that the progress of economic co-operation goes to the interest of people of both countries, creates jobs, and creates an environment where people talk about the economic power of each country and not an old conflict. So we are very happy to support this because we believe it really brings development and progress for both Kosovo and Serbia, and not for one to lose another, but to make progress for all”, he said.
The signing of the letter followed the agreement on both sides at the White House on 4 September to normalise economic relations.
Mr. Boehler said implementing the projects he runs will take some time, but reiterated the corporate's great commitment to closing those projects successfully.
This will take a while, a few weeks, a few months, it's not something immediate but it's true. What I like about this Agency is that, as you know, the United States is in the middle of an electoral process, but our agency and commitment to invest in developing countries will not change regardless of the administration in America”, he said.
Last month, in an effort to facilitate the implementation of agreements reached on September 4th at the White House, Mr. Boehler visited Pristina and Belgrade, where the corporate office, which is expected to serve for the entire region in order to address the implementation of priority projects such as the UN Peace Highway”.
The US delegation signed joint declarations with Kosovo and Serbia, which reportedly guarantees the implementation of projects, while US Ambassador Richard Green, sent to President Donald Trump for Kosovo talks Serbia, said the visit is evidence of commitment to implement the agreement signed in Washington.
The economic interests of Kosovo and Serbia have already agreed to create a working group that will help governments of both states implement the 4 September agreement projects, as well as provide support to implement infrastructure, energy and job creation projects.
Kosovo and Serbia will work with the US International Finance Development and EXIM Corporation, in memorandums of understanding, to life: The peace highway, the Pristina-Merdare railway connection, the Nis-Pristina railway connection, finance insurance for support of loans required for small- and medium-sized enterprises, etc.
