Thus has the director of the Public Health Institute, Albana Fico, announced that this is aimed at reducing the possible spread of COVID-19.
Fico has also stressed that setting the mask is a supplementary and non-compensive measure of preventive measures, adding that it should be implemented along with physical distance.
Meanwhile, the director of the Albanian Institute of Public Health has also indicated the correct way to use the mask.
“Starting tomorrow's 15th October, holding mask barrier will be mandatory to keep out of the house everywhere in order to reduce the possible spread of COVID-19... the use of masks should only be viewed as a complementary measure and not as a replacement of precautionary measures, and it must be applied together with a physical distance of 1.5 to 2m and hand cleaning. The correct use of the mask requires that the face mask should fully cover, nose, mouth, and beard be important to clean hands with soap and water or even with an alcohol-based disinfectant before the mask is placed or removed”, Fico said in her speech.
The decision also shows that those who because of age, health, or because of disability do not wear a mask will be asked for health records that verify this.
While, for anyone not respecting the measures imposed will follow fines will follow.
Failure to implement this measure will have fines of $3,000 to violators for the first time and $5,000 for repeated violations.
