The flight can be safer than working in office at the time of the coronary pandemic, aircraft producers, Airbus, Boeing, and Embrare have said.
Airbus has introduced a computer model that shows that passengers who are sitting next to each other and have masks set up, are exposed to half less saliva sprays, compared to people who keep a distance of 8m at the office.
“We have concrete data showing that the plane is a safer environment than closed public space”, the engineering official at the Airbus company, Bruno Fargeon, said at an International Air Transport Association conference (IATA) in Geneva.
Using similar models, Belgrade has said that sitting next to each other on the plane is the same thing as staying two meters away in a conference room.
According to the ITA, only 44 cases of infection have been reported on airplanes so far.
This suggests that one in 27.4 million passengers have been infected with coronarys.
Even if 90 percent of the cases were not reported, there would still be a case for 2.7 million travelers”, said medical adviser in ITA, David Powell.
Airplanes use filtration systems that clean up the air every two to three minutes, compared to two to three times in an hour at the office, according to ITA.
According to this group, airlines are losing nearly $12 billion a month, while the pandemic hinders the realisation of flights.
