A 19-year-old has been arrested in France for the brutal revenge of the murder of the pedophile priest accused of abuse of him and three other young boys.
The suspect, identified only as Alexander V., reportedly killed and tortured 91-year-old Catholic priest Roger Matassol at his home in Agnetz, north of France last November 4th.
The young man had stuck a cross into the priest's throat, causing the drowning. The author was first sent to a mental - health clinic after his arrest, where he remained for two months until formalising the charges this week.
Alexander was captured by police while trying to get away from the crime scene and has been charged with torture, murder and resistance to arrest. During the investigation, the suspect said he did not remember anything from the event, but had clearly the motive for his attack.
Alexander is one of four boys who Matassol is accused of sexually abusing between 1960 and 2000, even though authorities suspect there are more victims who have not yet come up with their charges.
And in fact the abuses date back to Alexander's father, who also reportedly has been a victim of Matassol's abuse.
According to the British daily The Sun, Alexander's grandfather killed himself when he learned of the abuses his family had experienced in the hands of the pedophile priest.
Alexander himself has attempted suicide in the past as a family member reported that abuses against him have followed from six to fifteen years of age.
But despite the charges against him, Matassol has been on church boards until last year.
The bishop of Beauvais, Jacques Benoit-Gonnin, insists that Matassol had left church posts since 2009, and that his following in receiving church salaries was “technical error”.
Since 1967, Moatasssol had left one church post to another from abuse charges.
