5 Nongovernmental Organisation react strongly against VV members for LGBTI community

Five nongovernmental organisations have reacted to members of the Vetevendosje Movement due to several statements to the LGBTI community. “Leonora Shabanan-Bajaktari, Assemblyist of the Municipal Assembly of Pristina, referring to a self-aware video published by the Youth Initiative for Human Rights Kosovo where the rights of LGBTI are promoted, more precisely [...]
“Leonora Shaban-Bajaktari, assemblyist of the Municipal Assembly of Pristina, referring to a self-aware video published by the Youth Initiative for Human Rights Kosovo where the rights of LGBTI people are promoted, more precisely through the same sex, through a status on Facebook says such promotion is “excess “.
Also, Eman Ungumman, deputy of the Kosovo Parliament, goes against the Crenaria Parade with attitudes like that of being a parent, calling you mother, father, daughter, boy, grandfather, grandmother...! My political commitment has to do with the future of our children, my political commitment is to a family with a mother, father, son, daughter, grandmother, grandpa.
“Civil Society Organizations, Centre for Freedom and Equality (CEL), Centre for Development of Social Groups (CSGD), Youth Initiative for Human Rights Kosovo (YIHR KS), Kosovar Centre for Gender Studies ( QKSJ) and Civil Rights Defenders (CRD) believe that these statements are completely unacceptable and such an act only increases lack of patience, hatred of human disbelief, because the insult, non-tolerance of a certain social group does not amount to”, said in their communiqué.
Therefore, as defenders of human rights, organisations have turned to the VV, asking to provide answers if statements in social media are also VV attitudes.
Moreover, in the case of LVV, such as the most voted in recent elections, we believe it is responsible and should show greater caution and restraint from its members when giving such statements”, it is said in their communiqué.
