The number of confirmed cases of COVIED-19 worldwide is close to 45 million, 1,169,595 people have died by now, or about 4 percent, and 32.347,529 people have recovered.
Currently there are 10,621.774 active cases, according to data from the Worldometers website.
Light symptoms of the disease appear from 99 percent of patients, or 10,541,893 people, while 79,881 patients are in critical condition, or one percent.
The highest number of confirmed cases is still in the United States, 9,0110,027, followed by 7.988.735, Brazil with 5,415,671, Russia with 1,547,774 and France, with about 1.2 million each.
The epidemic situation in Europe is worsening with a record number of new cases each day. France leads with more than 33,000 patients in the last 24 hours, Great Britain with 22.885, Italy with 21.994, Spain with 18.418 and Russia with 16,550 newly infected.
World Health Organisation Executive Director Mike Ryan estimated that Europe needs a serious acceleration in the fight against the coronary virus pandemic and warned that lack of the capacity for effective monitoring of contacts could lead to a deterioration of the situation.
The number of cases in Europe is 46% of all recorded cases in the world, with one third of all deaths among patients with COVID in the world, Ryan recalled at the press conference in Geneva.
