Judges in the process under way Monday have found he had attempted murder, broadcast albinfo.ch. While his 18-year-old brother was sentenced to nine months of parole due to dangerous physical injuries.
For unknown reasons, a physical clash had erupted between brothers and their 27 - year - old victim on a May night last year in Constablerwache.
Although the victim had already surrendered, 20-year-old German nationals of Kosovo's origin had drawn a knife and struck the opponent on top eight times.
The seriously injured man had to stay in the hospital for ten days. In addition to the serious consequences caused by the 20-year-old attack, the fact that he already had several previous sentences was assessed by judges as a serious circumstance.
Just one day after the crime, he had to finish holding a prison sentence for minors. On the other hand, the court could not prove that his brother had knowledge of the knife that the 20 - year - old had used.
The decision is not yet almighty.
