About 100,000 citizens could be laid off by the end of the year

Independent Private Sector Union Chairman Yusuf Azemi has said that by now 60 thousand workers have lost their jobs and that figure could reach 100,000 by the end of the year. On the other hand, it has stressed that by December the losses will amount to 1 billion and [...]
On the other hand, it has stressed that by December the losses will amount to 1 billion and 200 thousand euros.
So far we have over 600,000 lost jobs where workers have worked and by the end of this year that figure will exceed 100,000. We're hearing from representatives of private companies that this figure is much smaller than 30,000, but this is in order that supposedly private companies are saving workers even in this state what they are”.
The first solution they make is to get workers out of work. According to all odds by the end of December, it will probably amount to over 1 billion euros in losses that Kosovo's economy will have to suffer because even government bodies have not been at the right level and have not been around businesses to help them deal with the situation they are facing.
Azem wants a special fund for private sector workers from the Government.
“We are the last country in the region that government bodies have not been at the right level to stimulate even workers at company owners. We are now in position looking for private sector workers and the additional salary the institutions will have, especially, university clinic centres and other hospital centres”.
However, the email requirement is that at least the Kosovo government should have a special fund because we are aware that over this period there will be workers' departure and that these workers do not remain at the mercy of fate, because they have to have an incentive at least in six months to have an additional salary from the Kosovo government”.
Mayor Azem said there will be no wage reductions in the private and public sector, even despite warnings from the finance ministry.
The reduction of salaries in the public sector will not happen because if it happens then it will also happen in touching the salaries of government workers, but that will not happen. Kosovo's budget fills private sector workers”.
Among other things Azemi points out that 9% will have economic downturn, but according to him, the decline could be up to 12%, reports EO.
The law on economic recovery has actually fallen and each has shown its face. I say a large part of the deputies in the Kosovo parliament does not deserve to be there. They have shown that they are not in the interest of the people”.
“Mbi 90% of sanctions have suffered from the private sector because the public sector has not only suffered but also benefited because 70% of them have stayed at home. And private sector workers have received small salaries over this period. Somewhere around 9% will have an economic downturn, and if this continues without a capital approach and refreshment to private businesses, the economic downturn could amount to 12%”, he said.
