US President Donald Trump's special emissary for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Richard Green, will talk with Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq on Friday.
Following the deal to open the airline between Belgrade and Pristina, the US diplomat is required for a short period of time to bring new results, writes the Serbian newspaper “Novosti”.
Trump, Grenelli, along with his national security adviser Robert O'Brien, has called it a merit to open the airline between these two countries. The appointment of Grenelli, the US ambassador to Berlin, for the White House's first man's personal emissary on dialogue issues, has conveyed the comments that it shows Washington wants quick closure of the chapter of the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
Warning the meeting with Grenelli, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has told RTS that “America is ready to hear Belgrade's demands when it comes to Kosovo”.
Serbia's “position on the Kosovo issue is difficult, and the US report to Kosovo is contrary to ours. I'm not saying that America will now go to our side, as someone would have thought, but are willing to hear what Serbia thinks about this matter. In that sense I consider that we have opened a door after which we can talk to American partners more openly than before”, Vuciq claimed.
