The country's president Hashim Thaci, after meeting with LVV leader Albin Kurti, has declared he has given the latter 48 hours of additional deadlines to propose the candidate for future prime minister.
That's how the president announced through a Facebook post.
We remember that Albin Kurti, starting in front of the media after meeting with Thaci, did not mention such a deadline, saying it was a consultative meeting and without legal effects, writes Periscopi.
Thaci's Facebook mailing
I just held a brief meeting with Vetevendosje Movement Chairman Albin Kurtin, in an effort to implement the October 6th general election outcome.
It has already become the first important step of the Kosovo Republic Assembly Constitution, for which I again congratulate the deputies of the Kosovo Assembly.
The need to form the Government is vital for the state and citizens of Kosovo. Mr. Kurt today was unwilling to offer the nominated proposal by the Vetevendosje Movement.
As president of the country, I will exercise my constitutional and legal authority to preserve and cultivate the political and civic unity and Euro-Atlantic orientation of the state of Kosovo.
So I've decided to offer Mr. Even the next 48 hours for nominating candidate/Candidates for future prime minister of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo before taking the next constitutional and legal actions. HTH
