Thaci: I expressed our disappointment over the nonliberalisation of visas to Borrell

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci says the top European diplomat expressed the frustration of Kosovo's citizens over non-liberalisation of visas.

I thank Borrell for his visit to Kosovo. We had an excellent conversation about the future of Kosovo and the Western Balkans, it is a powerful message itself that Mr. Borrell is holding in Kosovo to continue in the Western Balkan region, which shows increased EU attention at a crucial moment for our country's European future, for Euro-Atlantic developments. Such a visit is very welcome. Kosovo's leadership is very clear, for Kosovo to work on integration and reforms, whether in the economy, politics and legislation. For Kosovo to be part of NATO and the EU, and in this direction Kosovo is interested in working in all forms, but also in carrying out the obligations it has on regional peace and stability, but also in this process, commitment of all sides is needed, and especially trust and this trust is advanced on merit. I talked to Mr. Borrell, I told him that Kosovo has been treated unjustly in the visa liberalisation process because Kosovo has fulfilled all the criteria for this process.
