The Philippinas Institute of Volcanology and Seismology raises the alarm level to 4 out of 5 the maximum, meaning that “is a poisonous explosion that can occur within hours or days”.
The number of evacuees is known to have reached 8,000, with another 6 thousand still in the danger zone.
Ash fell even in Manila, causing flights to its international airport.
