Local media report that more explosions were heard within the Green Zone, where the US Embassy is located.
The newest attack, which is not yet known by whom it was carried out, comes after the Iraqi Parliament has adopted a resolution to permanently expel American troops from the country.
The US has about 5,000 military personnel in Iraq, mainly advisers.
