The most frequent cases are the AH1N1 influence and pneumonia.
From the start of the season so far, the number of complications has reached 53.
“In the intensive block is a patient in serious condition and struggling for life, patient with lung diseases and respiratory diseases, currently under mechanical ventilation. There are young and older patients, mostly all patients are unvaccinated against the flu, and most are patients who have previously had a chronic disease. The best antiflucture prevention is certainly vaccine, yet it is also important to avoid public meetings, to be careful with personal hygiene-washing, and when the flu is in question, it is a very good precautionary mass”, said Sanja Marinkovovic, the Infectious Disease Clinic and Fibrile-Skup.
During the third week of January, the Public Health Institute has recorded 1,100 cases with the flu, which is an increase of 88% compared to the second week of 2020.
Most cases have been recorded in the city of Strumica and Debar, while, like other weeks, the most affected this week is the 15-64. The number of cases presented in the third week is twice as high as last season's third week as public health institute reports.
For the 2019-2020 season, the total number of cases of flu and other flu-like diseases is 2,718, which is about 17% higher compared to the same period last year.
