Kosovo diaspora is continuing to stay with <x0menje” in Kosovo, contributing large financial sums.

Even these sums are marking increases every year that the diaspora sends or invests in Kosovo.

Recent data from the Kosovo Central Bank shows that the amount of remittances sent out has marked growth.

By September 2019, remittances have reached the value of 627.4m euros, which compared to the same period last year, have seen an increase of 6.1 percent.

In the January-September period of 2018 the amount of remittances sent to Kosovo was 588.2m euros.

From January to the end of September of this year, the amount of remittances sent by our exiles has reached 627.4m euros.

In the same period last year (January-September), the amount of remittances sent to Kosovo was 588.2m euros”, the spokesperson for the CEC has said of IndexOnline Framework Ahmeti.

The amount of remittances per year is considered to be even higher, as some of the means enter Kosovo, through other forms, which may not be included in the official data of the Kosovo Central Bank.

According to data from the Central Bank of Kosovo, remittances come mainly from Germany followed by Switzerland, the US, Italy, Austria, France and other states.
