Eleven days left for prime minister, Albin Kurti, to present his ruling cabinet, Kosovo, to vote for the vote.
But as the days pass, there is little hope for a political agreement for co-ordination between the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League.
Ultimatums, offers and counter-offferates between the other, for political analysts, are a testimony that the two parties are thinking more about how to represent citizens, not the ruling coalition.
University professor Behlul Beqaj tells Kosovo Press that this issue should receive an epilogue as of this week.
This issue should get an epilogue if the coalition of change and the coalition of hope does not want to turn into a coalition of disappointment, it would be good to reach an agreement. It would be in the function of the political will of citizens who are defined in these two parties. Whether the agreement will be made or not, I don't think there's any need to reach an agreement that doesn't ensure the privacy of change. The agreement must be reached that the citizens' political will for changes has been expressed, he says.
Political analyst Faton Abdullahu says the equivalents of the two parties in their positions imply they are making other calculations, not that of forming the ruling coalition.
“They have only been balanced in their positions in rejecting the proposals they have made. Due to the time pressure Vetevendosje once made, it submitted the candidate for prime minister without an agreement that has pushed the course of 15 days. The same way the LDK did it by forcing this timeline within this week. This allows you to understand that these political parties are not very interested in making the government. But more are making calculations about what will happen after this failure”, Abdullah says.
Pessimist on such a governing coalition told Kosovo Press another analyst, Rasim Aliaj, who says the likelihood in such circumstances for co-governance between the V V-LDK- they're small.
“The only possible option is this turn of the legal deadline to be seen as an instrument for pressure on LVV, even on the LDK for the coalition to be reached. But under these circumstances, even with this communication language that both parties have had, including VV's videos, and LDK statements I believe the likelihood of reaching a coalition under such circumstances is very small”, he says.
Shortly after the constitutional deadline for forming the government, the LDK leader set a deadline for co-governance.
According to him, by the end of this week, they will expect Vetevendosje Movement to respond positively to their offer, where it is envisioned taking over the prime minister for a year, five ministries and pledging the appointment of the president from their ranks.
