Lamine Yamal dispels doubts about his physical condition after global debut

Lamine Yamal has removed any dilemma about his physical state following Spain's first 2026 World Cup match, which ended with a draw of 0-0 to Cape Green.
Barcelona's new attacker, who had recently been recovered from an injury, assured fans and technical staff that he is not facing any physical problems and that he is ready to continue the tournament.
“Everything is perfect”, the 18-year-old said about SPORT, suggesting that he feels no concern and that his leg is in good condition.
Yamal's statement has brought relief to the Spanish camp, especially after the disappointment caused by the draw in the first match. Some of the team's new football players, including Gavi, Nico Williams and Danny Olmo, did not hide the disappointment after the meeting ended.
However, goalkeeper Unai Simón sought calm and stressed that the race has just begun, remembering that the World Cup is a long tour where each match brings new challenges.
He also praised Cape Verde's appearance, which with good protection organization managed to stop Spain's offensive department and take an important point in its debut in this World edition.
The Spanish representative already sees as positive news that Yamal is in full shape and ready for future challenges in the world's largest football race.
