Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's office has not ruled out the possibility that, in the context of functionalisation of institutions, it poses any constitutional court request to clarify any constitutional and legal uncertainty in the service of the faster functioning of new institutions.
In a written response to Kosova Prees, the Office of the First State say they will be obliged to take any steps necessary to meet their constitutional obligation.
The president's constitutional responsibility is to function institutions. He is a guarantor of constitutional and democratic functioning and is obliged to take any steps necessary to meet his obligation, not even excluding demands on the Constitutional Court to clarify any constitutional and legal uncertainty in the service of functionally functioning new institutions”, the president's Office says in response.
It has been a week since there has been a consultative meeting between the winner of the October 6th election, Albin Kurti and the president, Hashim Thaci. The latter through a letter has asked Kurt for his party to offer the prime minister.
“in any case of admission or rejection of the candidate proposal for prime minister, please inform me as soon as possible, according to your promise from our meeting”, the president's letter said.
Until today, Kurt through a letter has addressed charges against the president, calling them unilateral.
Even after three months since the elections ended, the Vetevendosje Movement as the winning party has failed to sign the co-government agreement with the LDK.
