According to foreign media, Telegrafi conveys, Turkey's Authority for Disaster Management and Emergency Management (AFAD) said in a statement that the earthquake was 5.4 on the Richter scale and occurred in the Aegean province's Akhisar district of Manisa.
Two other quakes were also recorded after the earthquake.
Three minutes after the quake, the nearby town of Kırkağac was rocked by a quake of magnitude 4.1, while 16 minutes after the initial shock, Akhisar was again shaken by a 3.8 quake.
Akhisar Mayor Besim Dutlulu said no civilian was hurt and that there are no buildings damaged.
Otherwise, Turkey is located along one of the most active seismic zones in the world.
