A powerful earthquake has fallen in Romania at 2:26 a.m. local time. The quake's epicentre was 4km from Nereju and 153km from Bucharest's capital.
The quake was 5.1 magnitude on the Richter scale. It is reported that strong land quakes were felt in Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine as well.
There is still no accurate reporting on the damage caused, and it is not known whether this earthquake is related to the quake in Turkey.
Earthquakes have increased in numbers on the Balkan Peninsula and in states around the Black Sea. We remember that about a week ago Turkey was hit by a powerful earthquake that claimed 41 people's lives and left hundreds injured.
