On Tuesday in Tirana, one of the most important events for tourism in Albania will be held.
For the first time, Tirana will join the tourism ministers of the entire region -- from Italy and Greece -- to Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia.
Together at an International Tourism Sam. But it will not only be the ministers, but also the leading tourism agencies in the region, representatives of the most important hotels -- all tourist operators in the country -- all mayors, ministers and Prime Minister Rama -- at the most important event ever organised in Albania.
“Tourism, Solidarity and Endurance” is the theme of the summit that is bringing to Tirana, the elite of international tourism in the region, which this time comes to learn from Albania, a rare solidarity lesson for tourism.
Learning from the high solidarity of the tourism sector to help over 6,000 homeless citizens as a result of the November 26, 2019 earthquake, which has not been seen anywhere where disasters have been dealt with in tents and not in five-star hotels, such as Albania.
That is why the World Tourism Organisation promoted the unification of the entire region in Tirana, to share experience, to be together in facing disaster, and especially to promote Albania's international image as a sustainable tourist destination, writes Bw.
The Ministry of Tourism and Environment in co-operation with UNWTO will hold this Regional Tourism Sam on 14 January.
Natural disasters create crises that expose people to the need for immediate housing.
The November 26, 2019 earthquake in Albania, where thousands of Albanians lost their homes and more than 5,000 people were sheltered within 24 hours in hotels, was a unique example of how the tourist industry is not only business but also humanism, because tourism with its structures showed it is an important supporter of the humanitarian crisis.
Therefore, this summit will be of particular importance, because Albania will share with partners and rivals in the region this great lecture of Albanian tourism, but will also receive support to help all families affected by the earthquake.
The “Solidarity and Stability Summit”, where they will speak and debate by Prime Minister Edi Rama, all the ministers of the region, and many of the most important voices of international tourism development, will be moderated by journalist Rudina Junga, an important name for promoting Albanian tourism.
