LDK Chairman Isa Mustafa is still looking likely for coalition agreements with Vetevendosje, but without giving up the LDK's bid, which includes the requirement that the post of chief parliamentari meet this party.
I think there's a chance. I also think there is enormous reason for the Vetevendosje Movement to move the process forward, show will and make the coalition. What we've given as a solution we've considered and consider to be a good solution, enables it to rule steadily for the next four years and also enables a balance of powers that are necessary in any democracy and even in us”, Mustafa said.
In the interview given RTV 21, the LDK leader in the event of the failure of the agreement with Vetevendosje, leaves open the possibility that the LDK will vote on the minority government, proposed by Vetevendosje, but provided it knows what that government will be, what the programme will have and what it offers Kosovo.
“We are now expressed on December 26th that if it means sharing roads with the Vetevendosje Movement and they do not continue negotiations with us and co-governance with us anymore, then we will vote on such a government, but not unconditionally. We need to know what that government will be, what the programme will be, what it offers to Kosovo, because we are not able to vote out of our responsibility and then not know what that government will do, Mustafa said.
Asked about the situation if Vetevendosje fails with the minority government and the possibility that when this is at the discretion of the president, the LDK will receive the mandate to establish the government, Mustafa said that after 4 February it is a period that neither of us knows what will happen.
I think this is the matter of Vetevendosje, which Mr. Kurt must use his mandate to the full. That after February 4th is a period none of us know what will happen. He cannot give such an answer. We have had our own will and have to close this coalition with Vetevendosje, but of course by respecting each other as a side of this” agreement, the LDK leader said.
The LDK chairman has stated that elections are not the only solution and should not happen.
