Mitrovica: Family isolates the girl from marrying her boyfriend

A girl from Mitrovica reported to the police her family after saying they kept her isolated in the family residence.

The girl announced the case Monday in the Kosovo Police, while showing the reason why the family has kept her isolated has to do with her boyfriend. The family is not allowing her to marry the “person she loves”.

The female K/Albanian complainer has reportedly been kept isolated in the apartment by her parents and her brother because she did not marry the person she loves”, the Kosovo Police report says.

After interviewing the Kosovo Police Station in southern Mitrovica, at her request the girl has been taken to the shelter.

Her three family members were interviewed, and by order of the prosecutor they were released
