The Kremlin confirmed that the new title was one of different proposals but reduced its importance by claiming Putin “as had seen”.
The proposal was brought forward by a government commission that was overseeing the constitutional changes seen as an opportunity Putin “would rule for the rest of his life” after his presidency ends in 2017, translates Periscope from the DailyMail.
Putin has already announced the changes to the Russian public, which were passed by parliament last month.
This change had led the entire Russian government to resign, including Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, in the process of transitioning power that analysts say was an attempt to reduce domestic political wars.
For example, there are many proposals, one of which says the appointment of head of state can be changed to “Supreme Lider”, said Pavel Krashinnikov, chairman of the government commission.
When asked about the idea today, the Kremlin said it was a new initiative among others that could or could not be implemented. /Periscope
