Iraqi Prime Minister: With the murder of Iranian General, the cycle of devastating war was fired

Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdulmahdi said that with the killing of Iranian elite unit “Quads”, Qasssem Solejmani, the integrity of his country has been violated and that the fuse of the devastating war has been lit up in this country and the entire region.

According to the Anadolu Agency, Abdulmahdi in the written statement strongly condemned the US military attack in which Solejman was killed last night, underlining that he was the symbol of victory over the ISIS.

“Attatia against an Iraqi official military leader constitutes hostility towards the people, the state and the Iraqi government. The liquidation of military leaders from Iraqi and brotherly countries (Iran) on Iraqi territory is a violation of our country's sovereignty, an attack on the honor of this country. Moreover, this attack sparked the fuse of a devastating war in Iraq and the region. The attack also conflicts with the terms of American troops' position in Iraq”, Abdulmahdi ordered.

Abdulmah also called the Iraqi Assembly to an extraordinary session in which the attack will be debated.

Iraqi Prime Minister said the call has been made to make the necessary decisions within the confirmation of the Iraqi official position, protection of security and sovereignty.

Last night's attack on Baghdad airport has killed Commander Soleiman, who headed the Iranian elite unit of Revolutionary Guard, while the US announced that the attack was carried out by US forces with the country's president's directive, Donald Trump.
