The Pentagon said Friday that 34 members of the American military service were diagnosed with brain injuries with trauma and shock [ TBI) following the January 8th attacks on the Iraqi base.
At a news conference last week at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Trump downplayed the importance of these injuries by saying:
I heard they had headaches and a few other things, but I can tell, it's nothing serious. ”
In a statement issued at the veterans' site, William Schmitz, the national group's commander, said his organisation “could not stay without reacting to the issue. ”
We expect an apology from the president for our service. And we ask the White House to join our efforts to educate Americans about the dangers of TB, the traumas and shocks that plague our heroes. ” /Periscope
