Germany's number of automobile sales decline

The VDA claimed that domestic sales in 2019 suffered an increase of about 5% year-on-year to about 3.6 million new vehicles.
According to one government agency, the largest majority of purchases, about two-thirds, were from various companies.
However, total production decreased by 9% annually to 4.7 million vehicles as a result of a reduction in demand from abroad. This coincides with the ongoing decline in export figures.
