A group of Chinese scientists today reported that the possible source of the deadly virus, Coronavirus, are some mammals based on genetic analysis. However, photographs published by a Chinese restaurant show that these mammals are on his menu and that people consume them.
Scientists' findings were published in the Journal of Medicalology and report that infected persons were exposed to various wild species, including mammals suspected of being the source of the virus, as well as some other animals such as snakes or birds.
A detailed analysis that revealed that it is a new type of virus that is a mixture of two other coronarys: one comes from the bat and the other from an unknown source. This group presented evidence that the virus before passing on to humans was present with a species, based on certain biological signs on the surface proteins of the virus. These proteins allow viruses to pass human cells easily.
So scientists say that at one point this virus from some mammals has passed on to snakes and has adapted well to immunes. Later, people in the Wuhan market either touched or ate snake meat were infected.
But images that appear from Wuhan and published by the Daily Star Online offer another explanation, even more serious. Could the virus have passed directly on to people from bats?
Soup du yaur
Various cultures eat exotic food, and the Chinese are known for some meats that many others vomit. But bat soup? Surprisingly, it's very popular in China and it's considered a delicate one there.
Images published by the city that spread the virus indicate this soup that is boiled by a bat on a plate. Another video shows one girl putting the whole creature in her mouth while she's lunching with friends.
If the bat was consumed by humans, it is a potential source of the virus that reaches humans, as some organs are creating the basis for viruses.
