President Donald Trump's legal team in the trial against him will include former independent adviser Ken Starr, his successor, Robert Ray, and renowned defence lawyer Alan Dershowitz, according to recent reports.

Three experienced veterans are expected to join a team led by White House adviser Pat Cypolone and foreign attorney Jay Sekulow, who are planning to issue statements on behalf of Trump in the Senate, reported CNN, it's taking in the telegram.

The team will also include Pam Bond, the former prosecutor general in Florida, who is serving as special adviser to the president, according to the AP.
Derswaitz “will present oral arguments at the Senate's trial to address constitutional arguments against charges and dismissal”, a spokesman for the president's legal team told CNN.
