Sweden's public transport agency stated in a communique that it had made a decision to withdraw the license from Iranian airline company “Iran Air”, the only carrier to provide direct flights between Sweden and Iran, citing the lack of clarity about the accident and safety of civilian air traffic.
We understand that this could cause problems for travellers. But passenger safety is principal, and for this reason we have decided to temporarily suspend flights”, said Gunnar Ljungberg, the official maritime and air traffic officer of the public Transport Agency, in a communique.
