The Kosovar Privatisation Agency (AKP) announces the outlook for publishing the project “Business Development of the Golesti Mine” (Golesh Mine Business Development).
The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development (BMZ), following long-term co-operation between the AKP and German institutions through the Trepca Unit in the AKP. Project research works are carried out by company expert “Inros Lakener” and “EC Terra” began in October 2018 and ended in December 2019.
Addressing MIM Golesh as strategic assets, the Agency has requested research to confirm the opinion if this former social enterprise has development potential with job creation and revenues, research by international experienced experts and credibility, which will examine the possibilities for a profitable, social, and environmental project.
After the completion of the project, the agency has obtained new data on the possibilities of increasing the value of MIM Golesh, and estimates that this data should make it accessible to the public as well. To that end, it has decided to publish the original version of this study on the AKP site: www.pak-x.org, in order to expand opportunities for both local institutions and interested investors by introducing the possibilities Golesh offers and by cutting off the relatively quick opportunity for investment return.
In November 2019, the agency introduced the MIM Golesh at the “Mines & Money” Conference in London, and in this case, investors' interest in Goles has been considerable.
The agency offers this study for institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and interested investors who have the capacity to implement the project in compliance with the published report to use it as the starting point for further co-operation.
Since the study is compiled in English and contains strict technical terms that may lose meaning in translation, study is published in its original version.
The agency thanks the German government for the assistance and financing of many major projects in the past, as well as many aides in exchanging experiences, and giving valuable and practical advice from the German government.
