The Sydney-based Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC), the main industry body representing Australia's tourism export sector, conducted a new study.
The ATEC stated that according to the study, the number of bookings has been significantly reduced compared to last year, at a cost of $4.5 billion in industry, the ATEC said today.
At least 70% of the 850 members of ATEC registered a considerable number of tours to Australia by international visitors, said Peter Shellley, the manager of ATEC.
