Kosovo's incumbent Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, said Wednesday evening that Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, on the basis of media reports, has filed charges against him in court.
The Constitutional Court in Pristina has confirmed that Republika Srpska Prime Minister Edi Rama has handed over indictments against incumbent Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.
“-Confirmed that the Constitutional Court in Pristina -- the Department of Civil Affairs by the 1501.2020 -- has accepted the indictment by the E.R suitant against the R.H. indictees for compensation damage due to the controversial statement alleged by plaintiff” -- has told Radio Free Europe, Mirlinda Gashi, official for informing the Foundation Court in Pristina.
I, according to the law, will prepare answers in the indictment, in the set legal terms”, wrote Haradinaj on Facebook.
On Wednesday, the Justice Vow said it has secured Rama's indictment, which was handed over to the Constitutional Court in Pristina.
Rama's indictment, according to the Justice Accord, claims Haradinaj has slandered Rama for his statements he has given on the topic of exchange of territories.
“in this indictment mentions several broadcast emissions during last month's October, in which Haradinaj spoke on the subject, and where he accused Rama, who along with [Kosovo president] Hashim Thaci and [v.j. president of Serbia] Alexander Vuciq, have launched the idea of exchanging territories between Kosovo and Serbia”, the Law for Justice reports.
Haradinaj said that Prime Minister Rama's <x0Padic is completely unfounded and a political diversification that takes place on his part, to hide behind media dramas and flee responsibility”.
Our “com and Kosovo have people who stand up at any time”, Haradinaj wrote on the social Facebook network.
The idea for the exchange or correction of territories between Kosovo and Serbia was mentioned for the first time in August 2018 by Thaci and Vuciq as the possibility of resolving problems between the two countries.
The idea has prompted reactions both within Kosovo and Serbia and the international community.
Haradinaj, after spreading this idea, has indicated in favour of preserving Kosovo's current borders and has said that “should not have new creativity in designing them”.
Rama, meanwhile, has echoed statements by then European Commission officials that the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia “should not jeopardise the region's overall stability, but should contribute to stability in the region”.
