After the construction jam, businessmen have even mastered the green areas of Pristina.
The construction company, which has several skyscrapers in Pristina “KAWA Group” and the company “4M Group” are planning to build a small neighbourhood with houses on Lake Badoci.
The earth is in the name of Rahman Haradin, who owns the company “Lakeside Gardens”
News.net has learned that companies have prepared documentation to apply for construction permits in the Pristina municipality.
Regional Aqua Chief Executive Chief “Pristina, Ilir Abdullahu has said he is unaware of such a project.
News.net sent the project photos to his address, which he received from the company's website “CAWA” Then he said that if any construction in the area were to occur, it would be scandal.
After that project you sent me to the photograph, construction is happening in the first area, which is strictly forbidden. That part is meant to be surrounded so that people don't get in either. There is still no requirement for consent for any such construction. But, I'm saying, if construction is foreground in the first zone, then the Environment Ministry has to take immediate measures to prevent that from happening. That neighborhood will pollute the entire lake if built. Let's not forget what it wants to build in Pristina, water supply will be very difficult, because in recent years, construction booms and water capacities have been reduced. Currently, Badovci is minus 10m”, Abdullah told news.net.
Civil society is strictly rejecting such an idea.
A group called “Group for the Protection of Lake Badovci” was also established on the social network Facebook, where it has briefly collected many opponents of construction on the lake's banks.
On behalf of this group, Ardian Ndekaj has told the news.net that there are a group opposing construction in that area, as according to him, more than half of Pristina citizens receive water and drink from it.
“We are a group of citizens who are overly concerned with plans for construction on the lake shore at Badoci, from where more than half of Pristina's citizens get their drinking water. Thus, this project is under threat to people's right to drinking water. According to some sources, investors are saying that we will protect the lake, so according to what logic is a lake protected by building and introducing concrete on its shores? Pristina does not need more concrete space, but green spaces. We will not allow such construction secretly from the public, the creation of this group is just the first step in civic organisation, the next steps will follow”, Ndekaj told news.net.
The project was also presented on the communications website “CAWA”

After formalisation of the documentation, the tripartite agreement was also now formalised for realising the neighbourhood construction project near Lake Badovci, “Lakeside Gardens” This project comes as co-operation between KAWA and 4M Group, to build up ideally what is on paper. Thank you also to the owner of the land, Qhetman Haradin, that his property entrusted us. Lakeside Gardens will be the pride of construction and neighborhood planning!”, says a post the company “made on its site. KWA Group”.
Luan Hasanaj has also reacted by the organisation dealing with the preservation and protection of the environment in Kosovo, “Let's Do It Kosova”.
He told the news that we need mobilization of citizens to stop construction near Badoci.
For years we have organized numerous activities with the aim of increasing awareness to preserve the lake. Given the power of business, it is possible that laws and decisions make it possible to give permission to build, but if we mobilize, I am convinced that this can be prevented. After all, we are citizens living in this country and in this case we are not interested in anything but protecting our nature, water and health”, Hasanaj said.
Ljami.net has also contacted MMPH acting minister Fatmir Matoshi. He has said he is unaware of such a project.
I'll let you know when I'm aware. Even so, I call on all parties to be careful with the granting of permits so that we do not have misunderstandings. Once I can't say anything, whether construction is allowed in that area or not, because documentation should be seen, as I'm unaware of the” case, Matoshi said.
The following is a video and some pictures of the project.
