On that day, the Constitutional Assembly, with MPs left behind the crackdown on the June revolution, met in Tirana on January 21, 1925, where it declared Albania the Parliamentary Republic of President Ahmet Zoun, who had such powers that transformed the Parliamentary Republic into the Presidential Republic.
The second time, Albania was declared the People's Republic on January 11, 1946, to move to the Socialist People's Republic in 1976. The third time the Republic was proclaimed has been on April 29, 1991.
Citizens of Albania are now living in the third republic. However, they do not have a holiday, or a street, or a square in honor of the Republic, as it does everywhere in republican countries around the world.
In the time of the first Republic, a main street was called the path of the <x0 Republic”, in the time of the second Republic, a cinema was called the Republic “ ”, even having a day-to-day task force of the Republic. Now, though, there is nothing like that along the third Republic.
