People's Party deputy leader and former head of the General Staff of Serbia's Armed Forces Zdravko Ponos said today that President Aleksandar Vuciq stands behind Serbia's export of arms to Saudi Arabia, which through mediators ended in Yemen.

“Yemen is a state under arms embargo and should not do what Serbian authorities did”, Ponos said in a written statement.

He stressed that the things Serbian authorities are doing are questioning whether they bring Serbia to the level of one of the benefits of the United Arab Emirates.

“A is Vuchy an emir, will his power be inherited from his power and where does this lead?”, Ponos said.

Ponos said one of the main names of the firm that started weapons from Serbia was Branko Stefanovic, the father of the interior minister.

“Branko Stefanovic was an unsuccessful cafe musician, and his son Nebojsa was an unsuccessful student in two colleges. They did not become as smart overnight as they would be one of the most successful arms dealers in the world. That's why I'm fully convinced that Vuciq is behind this operation, “the Ponos.

He added that Portal Arms Watch argued that Serbian weapons had reached Islamic groups in Yemen, where the biggest civilian victims are currently on the planet.

Yemen's “Civils suffer from Serbian weapons,” said Ponos.
