The candidate for prime minister from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Kadri Veselini, has promised today in Suhareka that during his future rule, he will decide on the Kosovo Assembly budget building an alternative route for businesses there. This promise by Wessel came during his visit to the company “Futex”, where its owner, Shaqir Palushi, asked the future government to build an alternative route, as students in its absence are taking risks.
During this visit, Wessel reiterated that at the top of his goals as prime minister is fighting corruption and nepotism.
There's only one direction. There is only one orientation, free market economy, powerful entrepreneurship, people like Shaqa, and Euro-Atlantic orientation. The maximum stop, zero tolerance of corruption and nepotism, the creation of prospects for people living honestly”, he said.
The owner of the company “Frutex”, Shaqir Palushi, said their products are present in 30 countries, while they have even greater expansion opportunities.
He said that as companies are regular taxpayers, they have not had institutional support. For this, he outlined two key requests for the future government.
Our first request for the next government is to build an alternative route that exists. Maybe it's not a cost, or even that cost, and we're going through the taxes we pay, and I think that the government and institutions have to offer us the conditions... We also expect the new government to empower the law, and to be closer to producers as a strategic segment for the country's development”, he said.
At this point, President for Prime Minister Kadri Veseli pledged that during his construction of the alternative road would be on next year's draft budget.
I'm giving you my word that we're going to do this and you're going to see for yourself we're going to have to do it. Not in words, but in the media they are. Here, here's KosovaPress, who distributes everything, but we also have Clan a television that's private, but it's very concrete on this issue. We'll do it, and we'll leave it for months and years, and there'll be no misuse, but the work will be done. I am giving you my word, in 2020 it would be in the budget of the Republic of Kosovo Assembly, alternative roads, not the village, from where the children from” go, Veselin said.
Candidate for Prime Minister The PDK, Kadri Wessel, is staying in Suhareka, where it is meeting with business representatives.
