Last November 9th of last year, the two sides involved in the dialogue have sat on the table for the last time. After the introduction of the tax on Serbian products, no other meeting has been held within the final phase.
Although they are staying in New York, neither the president of Kosovo nor Serbia has given any indication that when there may be a resumption of negotiations, writes “Zer”.
It is almost a year since the Kosovo side and the Serbian side have not met to discuss the process of Kosovo dialogue, Serbia. Despite that, the international community's calls for continuing this process have not stalled over this period of time. A final agreement was reached between the two countries in New York, where the work of the UN General Assembly is being held.
Before the start of the Assembly, Western Balkan leaders have dined with dialogue mediator Federica Moghrini. In a communique issued by Moghrin's office after the meeting, all participants supported continuing dialogue and reaching a final agreement between the two countries as quickly as possible.
Nevertheless, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci was not declared at all for dialogue this time, as he usually did when on such visits. But his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vuciq, said internationals have sought to find a solution between Kosovo and Serbia, therefore to work towards reaching the agreement.
Nevertheless, international relations connoisseurs consider that in current circumstances there can be no return of dialogue.
