In commemoration of the 18th anniversary of the September 11th bloody attacks on the United States, where 3,000 lives were lost, and Kosovo is honouring these multi-active victims.

As early as the morning, activities have begun where memory plates have been discovered in the courtyard of the Government of Kosovo, in which the Kosovo Government logo and the words “Kosovo Redmbers” and “Kosovo remembers” and the 11th September 2011.

The discovery of this obelisk made incumbent Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Kossnet.

According to him, commemorating the victims of attacks on American institutions and people will become a tradition.

There were 18 years today, and Kosovo suffered a serious attack on institutions, on people, on our friends, on the people of America. Kosovo remembers this fallen date each year, the martyrs of this day and at the same time co-operate with the people of America. We will turn this honor into tradition every September 11th of every year before we start working in the institutions of the country will remember the fallen in America. Because we consider them our own because America was with us for our freedom is competition for freedom in the world, and we will always be together with America to defend freedom“, Haradinaj said.

US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costett said that for the American people this day is gloomy and mourns the loss of nearly 3,000 innocent people.

According to him, the American state will always remember the support that the whole world and Kosovo have given the American people at that time.

Costett said the stable partnership between Kosovo and America exceeds any political or individual party.

“The Americans will always remember the support the United States has had from around the world, the response of our friends in Kosovo was immediate and sincere, following attacks all over Kosovo, people gathered to march in support of the US, to light candles, to donate blood, some Kosovo citizens even volunteered to join the American Army, to fight terrorism, this spontaneous support, is a true confirmation of the close link between the American people and that Kosovo. This stable partnership transcends every political or individual party. Kosovo continues its commemorations and prayers for this day. Every year in Pristina, police, firefighters and the first responsibilities gather around the American flag erected in the semi-x1>, Costet said.

In commemoration of the 11 September terrorist attack, except for the discovery of the obelisk association “America's mics” will organise several activities beginning from 8:15 to 11:45.

Otherwise, some 3 thousand victims lost their lives in the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. Among the victims in twin towers were 2,752 of them, 343 firefighters and 60 policemen. Most of the victims were civilians of 70 different nationalities
