Any delay in reaching the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia goes to the expense of both countries and the region.
That's how the American ambassador to Belgrade, Kyle Scott, is stating in an interview for Serbian media.
“Every day without it (a deal) is a step away from the sustainable future desired by both states”, Scott said.
He also talks about Matthew's appointment. Palmer as Special Representative for the Western Balkans, while saying this is the clear signal that the US will do their best to help Kosovo and Serbia reach the agreement.
According to him, the sooner agreement is reached, the better for all.
“With Palmer's help, but more with the help of wise and courageous leaders in Pristina and Belgrade, that day will come. The sooner, the better”, Kyle Scott said.
We remember that the United States has already named Matthew Palmer as a special envoy for the Balkans.
Palmer is expected to have a key role in reaching the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
