Pope Francescu has criticised, what he called, <x0-structural comfort”, which according to the Holy Father leads to indifference in the face of the migration problem and the refugee crisis.
Francescu made these comments today during a mass held for World Migrants and Refugees Day.
He said that “we cannot be indifferent to the tragedy of poverty, isolation, contempt and discrimination experienced by those who do not belong to our group”.
The pope said weapons that promote wars are often produced and sold in other regions “that no longer have the will to accept refugees who are generated from such conflicts”.
Many migrants and refugees from around the world have attended the mass held today in St. Peter Square in the Vatican, which was closed with the discovery of a bronze statue where migrants appeared on a ship. /rel
