NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungescu said Russia had already established SSC-8 (9M729) systems, violating the Short- and medium-range liquidation Agreement.
Until Russia destroys these systems, the proposal to establish a mortorium for deploying missiles is unrealistic,” said.
Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted a proposal for the deployment of a mortorium in several countries, and Germany has confirmed it has received the proposal.
