The ministry suggests it is still early to calculate the financial effects of the damage caused, but stresses that its structures are on full alert and are following the whole situation.
“Nated by the quake occurring today and injuries caused in housing, public environments and businesses, the Ministry of Finance and Economy and its facilities depending on are on full alert and are following the entire situation in real time.
The MFE is co-operating with all the ministries of the line, local government and other structures that are on the ground to be informed of the damage caused by this natural phenomenon.
Even though these facilities are identifying damage on the ground it is still early to calculate the financial effects of these damage.
We also suggest that the MFE has all the funds needed to cope with situations caused by such natural disasters.
As the institution depending on the State Market Supervisor Inspectorate, the MFE is also co-ordinating with local government, elevator companies and palace managers to raise awareness to verify their technical situation, following the situation created by the earthquake.
